Should I give up on this?
At least halfway through Act II and I find it boring, to much running around should I just give up on it?

You really need to get through, at least open up the swamps if you haven't already. Look up some of the optional quests, they help to break the monotamy. I literally just finished act 2 today, the plot of it gets really interesting at the end. Just do a bit of main quest, a bit of side stuff.

But yea, Act II is verrrry dense and grindy at times.

I always felt Chapter 2 suffered from too many subplots that distract from the primary quest line. And one really needs to pay attention to the main quest line to enjoy it the most.

The chapter II is kind of difficult and sometimes boring. It gave me the desire to stop the game maaaany times but after this, it's so cool and interesting !

The game gets better with every chapter Id say. Chapter 1 was horrendous, chapter 2 was annoying as hell but then it gets better. Still you dont play this game for its awful gameplay but for its great story
