I had recently played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So, it was a little difficult to get used to the simpler graphics, limited movement and the click-combat. I am only at the beginning of the game and know nothing about the story.
I've been told that The Witcher 2 is far better than the original. So, maybe it would be OK if you skip the first.
