An Old Friend of Mine

I can't find any information about this quest, I wanted to know if it's a main or side quest? and does it have an effect at the end of the game? I finished the game today however I failed this quest with Shani unfortunately and didn't know until I hit ACT III.

[Ragnarök]

It has to do with Shani's romance. She invites you to a house party and you get a chance to sleep with her. You also get the chance to invite along one of your other friends (Siegfried, Zoltan or Carmen.) hilarity ensues depending on that choice.

I think the choice to give her Alvin still activates the romance even if you missed the party, but I can't confirm that because I've never skipped this quest.

I gave alvin to her instead of triss, I think the quest failed right before the house party section started. I ended up failing it because I kept going back to her house and nothing new came of it so I just moved onto the other quests honestly. Good to know it's only a romance card and at the end of my game she was still on my side.

If you moves to chaper 3 you lose her first romance option, you get another one that will give a different romance card bay giving her Alvin and a especific ring to her. This mission also presents you a important character that will appear more times in the history, but I think you can meet him somewhere else in chapter 3
