Wrong info in the journal/bestiary?

As many others I died a couple of times before I finally beat the act 1 boss. What really annoys me is this (this is assuming the Beast is a Hellhound): In the bestiary it says that the Hellhound is best fought using the fast style. So I fought him with the fast style maybe 5 times. Dieing everytime. Then I looked up a guide on how to beat him and there they said to use the strong style. And using the strong style I beat the Beast thje first time I tried.

Does this mean I can't trust the bestiary? That sounds really stupid, when an important part of the game is to study monsters and prepare to hunt them.

Well I myself trusted the bestiary throughtout the game and had no problems. The thing is that the bestiary wasn't talking about the beast, it was talking about the ordinary hellhounds that you encounter throughout Act one and the beast is no ordinary hellhound. The Fast style is most effective against the ordinary hellhounds because they will always dodge your attacks when using the strong style, the beast on the other hand is much slower than the ordinary hellhounds yet stronger so the strong style works with him so techenically the bestiary didn't lie but it never mentioned anything about the beast itself either.
