How to kill Leos ghost.

People tell to attack him with fast steel but it doesn't work, I can only attack him with strong steel combined with oil for ghosts. I can take a very slim part of his HP. Why? because he regenerates faster than I can damage him. Any ideas?

EDIT: Oh I forgot, I use FCR.

Try fast style and don't miss a single attack.

Make sure you've levelled up and made your styles stronger. You might need to level up your precise hit in fast style in order to hit him.

I doubt it will help. He perries my hits. Only strong style can hit him and with it I am only able to take down 1/5 of his HP before regeneration.

I killed him. Turns out that I just had to upgreade my strong style to 2nd lvl and add additional moves upgreade (the bronze one) in a combo.

None of this is ending up helpful to me, unfortunately. I've also scoured Google for the answer and tried everything suggested. I've tried both Fast and Strong styles (both are level 2), Strong style is always Parried, and I very rarely get any hits on Fast style - more often than not, that gets Parried too.The Spectre Oil doesn't help because I'm never landing a hit. Someone suggested the Torch, but when I tried that, I ran into the same problem as Strong style.

Level yourself. Spend several nights killing Barghests on the village roads, sell the skulls to Abagail.

Leo can only be killed with something other then swords in FCR. Don't know what's the deal,but hope it helps someone.

Thx I tried it. With the torch I barely killed it.

Aard works well on most specter type enemies. Use Aard and see if that works for you.

I'm playing on hardest and it wasnt a problem for me.. i have most my stuff leveled up until silver talent points and i had the necrophage oil on the steel blade.

Coat your steel sword in Spectre Oil and attack with Fast Combat style. I cut through Leo in no time using this method. You will need to make the Spectre Oil first using alchemy.

set it fire with ignis, then use Fast Style.

If you're not highly leveled up it's still possible. Drink swallow before placing the skull in the crypt. Hit Leo with fast style to damage both of you, then switch to strong style. Your attacks will be parried but you heal, Leo does not. When healed switch back to fast style. Rinse and repeat until Leo is dead.
