could you please provide link to the official forum post which states that?
Patch notes: •-Removes DRM dependencies
•-Removes CD-Key check
•-Corrects Depth of field and Bloom errors
•-Adds community-based adventures to the game: Blight of the Bogs, Deception, Merry Witchmas and many more
no cd key check mean no need for a cd key for new owners
where do they say this? Don't just say "the devs said this" and not back it up, I have not seen that post, provide a link to where they state that officially
Both W1 and W2 have had their CD keys and DRM removed. the games site for retrieving your W2 cd key has been taken offline. And yes, you do get goodies with both games from steam. W2 has more goodies that W1, but they are there. got to the tools portion of your library, scroll down to the bottom and install the "The Witcher 2: Bonus Content" item.
as for the W1 goodies, check your install directory.
there is a digital comic, making of movies, soundtracks (x2), a guide, a world map, and the temeria world map.
the W2 goodies are way to numerous to mention here, but if someone else wants to list them, be my guest
nice visuals, but it would sound better under water......
obviously a few of the directories dont belong on the list, but, i got lazy.

There's some of that in the Witcher, but if you really want it to be a main theme you should go play Planescape: Torment instead.
