How to get a Bestiary entry?
NVM: Found out I need to read books. Now onto finding those..

I probably have forgotten this but how do you do this? I need to get blood from 3 Ghouls and 3 Drowner brains, but I need to get an entry first.

A answar please on this question.
If im right you can get the Bestiary entry Reading a book. The Dwarf trader hase the book.
In the Intelligence tree there's also Monster Lore that you can purchase early in the game. As soon as you get it, it unlocks entries for barghest, ghoul, graveir, and drowner, as well as their related ingredients.

Edit: As you level (or enter new chapters), this one unlocks more.

How do I get the kikimore one?
My friend, you should visit this website:

http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Witcher_Wiki

You will find a great wealth of knowledge there.

It can definately be a help with the bestiary entries as well. It can be pricey to buy the books for them, and this wiki will often show you were you can either get the book for free or the entry for free or cheap. For example, one of the old ladies in the village at the outskirts will give you the drowner entry for dirt cheap (a scrap of food is the price I beliece), and you can get the book for ghouls by beating the drunkard at the inn in a drinking game. Stuff like that.
There is a book for free in the house. After passing royal huntman to village includes Reverend, there are 3 houses at the same line on the left of road. There is that swallow creatures book at the last one of the houses. That house is above the place of power.:steamhappy:

Stop such crap comments! This topic is helpful despite its age, especially the post #5 from Regnes. Players of the game are free to add their comments to topics like this instead of opening a new duplicate topic, which possible will not be as helpful as this one.

This answer is rather general, and not actually helpful in this specific case. The related entry says that talking to the knight near the town hall unlocks kikimora claws. I have had that conversation, got the night pass, and killed many nearby kikimora workers. I still have no bestiary entry, and no claws have dropped - only tracheae.
The full answer turns out to be more complicated. The wikia entry does say to talk to the armored guard near Triss' house, but fails to mention that you have to do so in daylight hours. Even then, the monster entry you get does not include the claws. To get that part, you have to talk to the guard knight near the town hall, again in daytime. You then have to wait until night for the kikimore workers to appear. The pass you get from the knight near the town hall at night appears to be unrelated to the bestiary entry.

I've updated the wikia entry for Kikimore Claws to clarify this.

I've found that the guards don't provide any info on the kikimore, however, there's a bookseller that roams through the merchant quarter who has a book on insectoids.
Chapter 3 book seller in the marketplace, sells the book:The wonderful world of insectoids.
