Do you have to have the WItcher 1 installed to get at the code? I am failing at Steam.
yes. i used the code but gog said it was invalid.
Same thing happened to me.
same problem with me. Keeps saying "Your product key is not valid!"

That's odd, I simply copied my opened my key through steam client, copied it to clipboard and pasted it into the box, with dashes... no error at all
Have the same issue as you guys, your best bet is to try to get another key, just fill this and GOG should send ya a replacement...

Knew about this but we shouldn't have this problem in the first place. It's weird how 2 worked for me but not 1.
i thought this promotion ended years ago :/
Same issue, also I got this game as a gift on steam so I don't think I even have a proof of purchase that I can use for getting a backup key.

I also have the same problem...can't activate my copy on GOG..

im just gonna throw this out there because ill admit i had a problem getting mine to activate on steam but i realized something.
i was hitting O (O as in Orion) and not 0. if 0 is in ur code, always do the number 0 and never the letter O.
Oddly, my key for 1 worked but 2 didn't work. But when I checked the game shelf for gog, I somehow had activated both 1 and 2 for gog.

Are keys to 1 and 2 linked together if you have both?
Both of my keys worked perfectly when I did this ten minutes ago -- if you haven't, try using the built-in 'Copy to Clipboard' function when viewing your key on Steam and then copy it as plain text on GOG. Also, the games have to be at least in the process of downloading on Steam before you can view your keys. Basically just a repeat of what's already been said... :special: but just wanted to say that this method worked for me, so it might for others as well.
