1. Place both of the TWEditor files inside TWEE's installation folder. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition)
2. Right click on the TWEditor shortcut file and select "Properties"
3. Copy and paste the following into the "Target:" box: "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -DTW.language=3 -jar -DTW.install.path="C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition" -jar TWEditor.jar -Xmx256m
4. Run the shortcut file.
Well, I actually figured it out after hours and hours of doing research, so this info would've been more useful 3 months earlier, but thanks still ^^ Anyways, that's the best version of the steps, because the site I found them from had them as an hour-or-so long text file.
Thanks again mate...
"C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\javaw.exe
The specified path does not exist.
Check the path, and then try again."
But i have checked the path and its there.
Check this Guide about using TWEDit.
Sorry, I have no idea.. But if you want to see the cards, you should be able to find them by just googleing them ;D
noob question: where is the "Target" box?
I have a different problem with the editor: whenever I try to open a savegame it says "unable to read save file" and that it can't find the file.
What should I do?
Sorry, I really can't help with this, 'cause I never had this problem.
Well, the error message continues: "java.io.FileNotFoundException:C.\users....\appdata\local\temp\tweditor.mod (system cannot find file)"
Another info: my User in windows (8) has an "é" in it.. maybe that's the problem?
I think that could be the problem, maybe you should try changing the User-name. Also, I'm not sure if TWEE save-editor is compatible with Windows 8. I mean, it kinda is an old game already. That's something worth checking out.
I hope you figure it out. Be sure to tell here if you figure something out, so others can find help for the same problem too!
