The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Won't Launch - Win7 X64
Installed through Steam, Enhanced Edition (Director's Cut DLC installed, whatever that is) and it won't run. No error, no screen, nothing.

It will launch from the editor and I've tried to set settings in there but still, nothing.

Tried all the usual tricks, run-as-admin, compat-mode, etc.

Even the 'official' forums don't seem to have any solutions.

Windows 7x64

Also tried the -dontforcewhatever launch option, no go. Ideas anyone?

Same problem and I've bloody-well tried EVERYTHING. Even trying to run witcher.exe and launcher.exe does squat. I also bought the GOG version, thinking that might work - NOPE.

CD Projekt Red tolk me to install TAGES drivers. Um, no.

GPU?
In "My Documents" must be two "The Witcher" folder.

GPU is a Radeon HD 6990. How can you possibly have two folders with the same name? You can't.

BAMP!

CD Projckt, GOG and Steam support hasn't been able to tell me why Witcher EE won't launch, I foolishly bought the series so I could play them through and can't even start!

Same issue, no fix/hack/trick seems to work, the launcher.exe and Witcher.exe do SQUAT!

Sorry for late responce.
Try set read-write permition in "My Documents" for all users (this resolve many issue in Win7).

First create launcher for game itself, second -- for djini (editor). Techinaly both folder have different name (for OS), but displayed it as equal (adding space, non-printing character etc).

Check the permissions and fixed a few (was read-only) very good suggestion but still won't launch.

E.g. djinni work?

Reinstall directx and vcredist (in game folder).
And try launch testapp.exe instead witcher.exe.

Yes it runs from djinni, can change settings but won't let me start a new game. Ran testapp.exe, same result. Nothing, no black screen, no error.
