So - you have nothing to actually refute anything I actually stated in my OP - merely a whole load of butthurt. And you accuse ME of mental masturbation....?? Bwaaaahahahahahaha!!!
Come back when you have something.
I hope this helps a bit. This game is really glitchy so i understand why you have a hard time with it.
Thanks again!
Nice to hear that you beat that part. However, I am very concerned as to why it took so much. Have you allocated points and levelled up by this point in the game? Which level are you? Are all encounters hard for you, or just this one?
I've levelled up a bit, put about equal points into strength, etc as well as the fighting styles (a bit more into Group). I had completed all the quests, fought and killed all the monsters. It was just this particular battle which gave problems - because Gerault would not do anything; he would just stand there, immobile and unmoving, not even attempting to defend himself, far less fight back.
I've fought groups of barghest, drowners, those crypt-monsters, that group of enemies on the bridge outside one of the gates - all without much of a problem - because Gerault would actually fight back instead of going to sleep on his feet.
It was VERY annoying! But I'm past it now. Eventually.
So it maybe a good "plan B" if you can't pass a fight later on.
There's also an ability you can get with a certain sword/style that boosts damage against an enemy that has the incineration effect. It was extremely useful in most tough fights, especially the first few encounters with those sentient plants in the swamp.
