Chapter 4
How long can I expect this chapter to be? Or what level should I be to finish the game from what I've read chapter 5 is pretty damn short so I want to make sure I'm around a good level to end the game.

I'm somwhat into chapter 5 now. Chap 4 took me a few hours. It was much easier than the previous chapter. If you survied 3, you will do fine in 4. Theres a lot of running back and forth in chap 4 though, lol! Makes me wish they added fast travel, but again I guess that would kinda ruin the experence.

Hmm ok. Cause I'm currently in my lower 20's and I beat chapter 3 no problem. From what I'm reading I hear that several people beat the game at about level 35 I'm wondering if I can be at a lower level.

I'm at level 25, and I think I should be done by about 29ish.

If i remember right, i ended up close to level 40 on my first playthrough (it took me around 40 hours). The maximum is level 50, as legendary witcher, but it's all about grind to reach that point.

How does level work depending on which difficulty mode one pick?

I play on the causal (lowest level of difficulty).

The sad thing is that most of all that good stuff doesn't transfer over to W2. So I don't see a point to "Ace" the game. Now when I play W2 I want to do absolutely everything.

I don't think the XP varies regarding difficulty, since quests have the same rewards when completed. And i agree with you Kid Poetik, it's even more funny, or sad, that the three powerful swords, as well as the Raven armor, are totally obsolete in W2. As for acing the game, you really gotta love the combat system to farm hours for XP, and it's pretty much useless since Geralt by level 30 is OP.

Exactly so just I think I'm gonna do the primary quests in chapter 4 get through the game and start achieving things in W2 however; I must admit and a bit supersede I actually did enjoy W1 I thought I was going to be eh about it but that has changed and excited to put in hours into W2 and 3 just because of the achievements alone.

The Witcher 1 remains my favorite, because CDPR managed to make a good transition between the end of novels and the game, as well as giving more value to the lore. And i just love the story of the first one, the locations, the bestiary.. all in all anyway, the three games are always a blast to play, yet have to try new game+ in W3 thought.

I just ended the first game, and must say I had a blast. I recommend those who are finishing to go through the secondary quests too (on the last chapter you can acquire a new suit of armor, which is pretty cool), because once you finish the main quest there's no coming back.
Enjoy everything it has to offer, you won't regret!

I haven't regretted putting in about 30 hours and just getting into chapter 4 yet lol.

Besides, the more you explore and get side quests done you'll earn more XP. I heard that some people are having trouble fighting monsters and bosses because of the lack of experience

Hmmm ok I'll make sure I'm around level 29-32

chapter 4 is pretty short. however, it has the longest leg work (long walks) quests in the game becasue there are many locations and quest POIs are far from each other. im around level 30 upon entering chapter 4. chapter 2 was the longest and most tedious to complete.

Yeah I see lol. I'm just back to enjoying the game and doing all the side quests.
