The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Level per chapter things to do/talents
I'm surprised not to find this in the guides section,
but what levels should you bel, talents/items/weapons you should have, what things to keep around at various points? e.g. ch1, ch2,.. medium difficulty
I skipped a lot of the optional quests because I wanted to progress the story and am wonder if I am too low level (lvl 19 ch 4) need better equipment/items/potions(same witcher sword as beginning)? and any tips on lvling would be nice.
Also is there a way to do quests from the previous chapter? Particular is the werewolf quest where I just needed to talk to Carmen again, if not is there a way to get the werewolf for potion? I know I should have taken Triss's warning more seriously

Quests are really the best way to level. I was around level 30 by chapter 4, but I never felt like the power curve was very big. You'd most likely be able to make up for lost levels with potions. Some quests do span multiple chapters, but I don't think you can do the werewolf one after chapter 3 if you hadn't progressed far enough to kill the werewolf.

Gear isn't a huge issue. Maybe forge a meteorite and rune sword at the next blacksmith. The blacksmith's son in chapter 4 should sell everything you need. You don't need the Exceptional Leather Armor a lot of blacksmiths were trying to sell for 5k. You should get a quest for a new armor set in chapter 4 that finishes in chapter 5.
so in my questline I chose to spare the werewolf, so is there another way to get the dexterity upgrade?

I don't think so. It's kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because killing the werewolf fails the quest instead of just completing it with unfavorable flavor.

okay is there anything that needs to be done in the following chapters that can't be accounted for later like the werewolf?
Do you have any particular rune/meteorite combo that works best? I always thought runes were temporary.
Also just out of curiosity, how do you get the werewolf extract at the end of the quest is it just given to you by carmen or whatever?

I don't think meteorite combinations are a huge deal. I think 3x yellow is objectively the best, but by the time you get 3x yellow you're at the end of the game. I did 3x red until I found the unique sword in the swamp in chapter 2, but I assume you missed that. The unique sword wasn't significantly better than 3x red though.

Some runes are temporary. Sun, Earth, and Moon runes are permanent and work like red/blue/yellow meteorite. I used 3x sun for synergy with some of the talents, but 2x moon 1x earth may be better for you.

You have to make the werewolf potion by killing the werewolf, thus failing the quest, and using his fur as an ingredient in the Werewolf's Wrath potion.
how good is Ceremonial sword of Deithwen?
worth going that route of the quest for? the wikia says its not so great a sword, but seems to have good stats.
Also how good is Gwalhi? worth 3000 orens?

I just finished chapter 4 at level 29. I mostly just do all of the side quests (including contracts) and kill a lot of the enemies that spawn. You do get a decent replacement for your silver sword toward the end of chapter 4 in one of the questlines which is much better than the rune swords.

I have found that the meteorite swords are better than the Ceremonial sword of Deithwen. At least, I made a red meteorite sword that I had better luck using. From what I understand about Gwalhi, is that if you don't complete the dentist's quest for all of the teeth and don't complete all 10 trophy quests, it's worth the 3000 orens. Otherwise, you'll get a better sword in both of those quests once you complete them.
