Are Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel, and Berengar True Witchers?
I kind of get the impression that some of the arts of witcher mutation were lost from Kaer Morhen during its decline and they can't produce true witchers anymore. For one, they don't have the yellow cat eyes typically associated with witchers. Meanwhile every other witcher we encounter in the series has the proper eyes.

Or maybe Witchers vary from school to school, Geralt is known to have undergone extra mutations, so maybe the cat eyes aren't common for Kaer Morhen witchers, but are typical of other schools. Though, the cat eyes appear to be a trademark trait of Witchers in the Northern Kingdoms, with Kaer Morhen having been the supplier of most of that region's witchers back in the day, so who knows.

Geralt isn't a normal person even if you remove his Witcher mutations. His parents I think are both magical in nature if not just his mother. Most Witchers are children that lost their parents or are subjects of the Law of Supprise, though I belive Geralt's parents handed him to the witcher school of their own free will. The Game also takes place 5 years after Geralt and a few of his traveling party are killed or go missing, so his coming back could have an effect on his apperance. In the books other than his white hair I don't remeber anything said about his eyes other than when he drinks a few potions before fighting the Strigga.

The deves also did make changes to other characters most notably Triss having more red hair over her Arburn hair in the books. Though your theroy could be correct it does sound like the wolf school was attacked and only Lambert lives and it sounds like all but Berengar where picked up after that attack.

Actually, in the books, witchers don't have yellow eyes. Nor do they always have that cat-like appearance. They can go into "cat mode" voluntarily, and it also happens automatically when they're in the dark. There are a bunch of times when people talk face to face with Geralt and don't know he's a witcher. Kind of hard to pull off when you have bright yellow cat eyes all the time.

However, I should mention that one of the Wolf witchers, Coën, does have weird red threads in the whites of his eyes and his irises are a really, really pale yellow-green because his mutation process ran into some trouble.
