Getting into Vizima...
I went to the Salamandra hideout, killed everyone in there. Looted them and killed the monster in the opposite hut

Then when I go back to the inn to Shani shes says "we must leave this cursed place, follow me to the city gates" or something like that, but she doesn't move. And you can't get into the city without a quarantine pass and Mikul is mia

You have to meet Abigail & Alvin in the cave. This sets up the big battle with the local evil-doers, and finally, the monster dog. If you win out against all those, you go back to the inn,
pick up Shani, & walk on into Vizima. (You didn't think it would be easy, did you)?

However, if you play your cards right, you might get lucky with Abigail, in the cave, before you go out to face the Reverend & his troublemakers! Best of luck!

I think my save is glitched lol

When I go to the cave it's only Abigail here and the only thing she says is why are you here

Also the Salamandra hideout quest is still showing up as incomplete even though I've done it. Of monsters and men, the salamaders tail ands witchers secret. It says go to the hideout but I did that and killed everyone and looted them

I haven't defeated the beast. Is there a quest for him?

Go back to the Salamander "hideout" and inside that house you will find a trap door. That's what you are after I think.

Thank you for this! I didn't even see that trap door. So blind

Oh, neat! Now you are on your way. It's been a while since I played Witcher1, and I forgot about the trapdoor! Now you can get lucky with Abigail! (Then go on through the cave, to meet the evil townies, then the big bad dog! Good luck)!

Don't forget to go back to the inn, after the fight, to pick up Shani.

Having sex with Abagail then letting her burn alive on a stake is the obvious best choice.

Glad to be of help. I thought when I read over your thread this was what you were looking for. Now you can crack on with this great game :)

Megumin, if you open your mind & try to imagine how that would be for a young woman to go through, you might want to re-think that! I got her through all the baddies, and she went on her merry way!

Good Job, helping a murderer

I guess I forgot that part of the game. Who did she murder?
Ragnarök Sep 11, 2016 @ 6:05am
Nobody really. She sold poison knowing it would be used in suicide. Odo also claimed she forced him to kill his brother which is doubtful because if that were the case, he would have no reason not just to blame her outright and claim witchcraft instead of secretly burying him in the yard and waiting to point the finger until a scapegoat presented itself.

She's morally bankrupt sure, but she's the lesser evil.

Thanks for explaining that. I wonder how she would know what Ilsa was going to do with the
poison, (if she sold it to her). In any case, whilst it's only a game, I can't help but imagine how it would be, bound to a stake, kindling & brush around your feet, and someone touching it off with a torch! This truly happened to some women in New England, several years back, and since it
is obviously nonsense to believe in witchcraft, several innocent women suffered ghastly deaths.
I mourn for them, God rest their souls!

If I were to assist in someone elses suicide in real life, I would be brought to court and tried for murder. But that's just how the laws where I live work.

Abagail tried seducing you because she knew of her crimes and didn't want to suffer the consequences of her actions.

The poison she bought from Abagail isn't multi-purpose like bleach is, meaning it only could be used for one purpose, suicide or murder. Since, she didn't ask for a poison that could be given in a drink and not have a taste, we can rule out murder. Also Abagail has eyes and we know the emotional distress of the girl would have been a dead give away for her to see.

If Abagail helped murder Mikul instead of assisting in that poor girls suicide, I could have easily forgiven her. She's no better then a drug warlord, selling poison used for a suicide she knows about, however she doesn't care because she only cares about $$$.

They never burnt anyone in New England for witchcraft as far as I know. That was more of a European method that wasn't strictly for witches, but also things like treason, murder, heresy and sodomy. In Salem most of the people who were found guilty were simply hanged, though one man who was accused, Giles Corey, had stones piled on him to encourage him to confess. It didn't work out and he died without confessing.
