Vizima Outer Gates From Outskirts

So I'm on Chapter 1 and I'm in the Outskirts of Vizima and was wondering how do I get the gates open so I could get out?

You have to kill the beast.

You have to continue along the main quest which will result in you killing a big beast-dog thing. After that a custscene plays and you get into vizima.

Alright but I cant get out of the outskirts and continue, do you know how to do that?

The cutscent doesn't play right after you kill the beast. You have to try to enter Vizima through the eastern gate. That triggers events that lead to the cutscene.

I’m in the outskirts though and the gate is locked, do you know how to get out?

I’m in the village you start out in

Oh, at the very start of the chapter? That's not a village, that's just the inn. It has a little compound of its own. Try talking to Shani (the short-haired woman wearing green), or to Alvin (the kid with her). The gate should open and some hellhounds should attack. After you kill them, you'll be able to leave.
