Fist Fight bugged - Cannot throw punches?

When I start a fist fight in that first inn, the fist icon appears briefly, and my character just does the idle animation despite clicking on the yellow-icon opponent?

Nothing I do seems to allow Geralt to actually punch?

It´s kind if counterintuitive comparing to fighting with blades, but in fistfight you click right when the yellow cross goes out.

(If the problem is something else then humbly disregard my comment :) )

That´s different from what I see in my game. I See the fist with a yellow cross behind it. When the cross disappears is when the punch is effectively thrown. But no point, like in the vid. Another version, or mod? (I do unmodded).

it seems that the fist thing works as long as i don't touch the wasd lol. I touch those once, and Geralt can't throw punches anymore.

Sounds insane (corrupt saves/installation?) Did you try to repair your installation?

No mod, and especially no cheat. Vanilla, actual version, but DL "Hard". Did you play it on "hard"?

Anyway, the sign is irrelevant. You can use the same technique as in TW3-counterattack: Watch the opponent, and as soon as he draws back his arm to attack Geralt strikes. As soon as you are familiar with it any upcoming fistfight will be a cakewalk...

The actual sign is irrelevent of course. The same principle apply. (I recently finished my first playthrough. That was on Normal. Next one will definately be on Hard. )

Actually, first playthrough but on Nightmare. Once it stopped bugging out on me it was easy, just weird that it bugged out at all. Had a lot of bugs with this game, almost gave up

I had no bugs whatsoever. It crashed every now and then, but oddly enough only on very appropriate occasions :)
