Place of Power Crashes Game
Every time I try to use a Place of Power (Perform the ritual of magic) my game freezes. Alt+f4 does nothing and ctrl+alt+del just gives me a black screen. I have to shut down the computer via the button on the tower. My mouse won't show up after clicking the place of power either, even when holding down shift.

I have an i7 6700k, nVidia GeForce GTX 970, and 16GB of ram, since this is an older game I would think it should run fine. Everything else seems to work..sometimes the hair jumps around when I'm talking to people. (Abilgail, the reverend)

They did that kind of funny, when you click on the place of power, a question comes on, you click the answer, and things appear to freeze, but if you just left click, it will work. Left click again, and you are done.

Wow i feel dumb now. I figured it was frozen because I couldn't alt+f4 or start the task manager. Force shut down my computer like 3x for nothing. >.<

that happens to me if I alt-tab out of the game to my desktop so I can read the game Wiki... when I try to alt-tab back to the game, sometimes I get a black screen with the game sounds, but I can't do anything. Can't even pull up Task Manager to shut the game down. All I can do is just turn off my computer and restart it, then restart the game.

I also had a crash to desktop when I was doing nothing except walking around collecting flowers, so now I save my game very often.

Seems pretty normal for a ten-year-old game or whatever it is. I'm enjoying it I guess. For some reason, I decided to play the first two games before I play Witcher 3. Probably was a mistake, probably should have spent the same money on getting the Witcher 3 plus all expansions instead of getting the base game plus the two previous games in the series... but too late now.

I finally made it work as Lancer31 indicated.

Also, you made a good decision about playing 1 and 2 first. The Witcher 3 is, imo, the best of the saga, but you will miss A LOT (really, a lot) of stuff if you dont know the storyline in 1 and 2 because they refer to past events really often. Have fun!
