Stuck on Prologue Meditation with Vezemir

In the Witcher' Laboratory, I need to meditate by clicking on the meditation symbol in the dialog with Vezemir. But when I click to it nothing happens. It is just unclickable, as the symbol doesn't light up when you hover your cursor on it. Can't proceed the game because of this issue.

• Try to repair your installation:

• Doesn't help? If you don't (and didn't) use any cheats, mods, the savegame editor etc. then upload your save and post the link. I will have a look at it.

here bud. Tried your suggestions but to no avail. There is also no fix for it in pcgamingwiki.com which is spooky.

Geralt had a look at the laboratory. When he went to Vesemir he could take his rest. Try if you can do the same using this save. Copy the link to your browser and remove the star in .c*om. Without the star Steam will remove the link.

Unfortunately the first save file you sent is deemed corrupt by the game. My save file after the rest worked though. Thank you so much!

Welp, it seems all "special character interaction" buttons are broken. I can't give the healing potion to Triss as the button for it (which is the same type of button for meditation button of Vezemir) does not work either.

Weird. Smells like corrupt savegames/installation.

Are you playing the Steam version btw or like a DVD copy?

A bit old discussion, but I'll drop it here for future players. I had the same problem, but it seems I found a solution while smashing random keys in frustration.

Apparently the combination of keys that change the keyboard layout(language) brings the dialogue interaction back to life. For me it is alt+shift or the default super+space, in Ubuntu 20.04. Small problem is it has to be triggered every single time, but not a big hustle for dual-language keyboard user.
