Kills every single thing.
Aard in the early game is VERY useful. I also poured a truckload of points into Igni in the middle and and endgame phases too. Immolated every mob I went up against.
Also invest in anti-CC (stun, knockback, etc) skills and potions. You never know which encounter will prove to be a tough nut to crack because you get stunned/feared/knockbacked to death.
He just 'painlocks' you and kills you.
Agree haha!
Easy to understand quick guide. Thanks!
Thank you guys! Sorry it took me a while to reply; had a death in the family.
You're welcome!
About your question Jonasan, Witcher 1 was CD Projekt Red's first game and so has, understandably, wonky combat mechanics. I wouldn't put myself in a grueling position to go throug the game at a difficulty level higher than Normal. If you want to challenge yourself, do so in Witcher 2 and 3. Not just this one. As you can see in my guide, combat is not that exactly an enjoyable affair IMHO.
Play this for the story. In that aspect, Witcher 1---like all games in the series---delivers in spades.
I'd be very concerned about the first boss battle though. Even at Normal, the whole thing was a tough nut to crack.
