All 3 are great, storywise 2 and 3 are great, but speaking of combat and character dev, 1st one is my choice

me, I would say that witcher 1 is almost a sh**tt to play. Never you will do it, without looking at a walktrough. You will be blocked, and cannot advance the game no more, in many occasion, unless you look at a walktrough. Just now, i'm blocked in chapter 3, mission Lock and Key. I have to talk to 2 officers guard, and 1 is supposed to give me a password to continue the mission. +2hours i'm talking to every guards, and story cannot continue unless I find that guard, this is bullsh**tt kind of play. And that will happened too with other missions, or specials monsters that you have to kill, and that don't spam. But, still the story is good. But the game have some missions bugs, in different part of the game, and you will search like a dumb, even with a walktrough. Witcher 1 game is old game play style game. Just hope TW2 and TW3, will be less bugged.

First one is great for alchemy and potion drinking animation. It also has a darker feel imo.
Third one is fun, fluid action, and beautiful. But alchemy is too simple and easy, no drinking potions animation which means no risk to drinking while being attacked by bandits or monsters.

Can't comment on the second one.

you can also go to : https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ There, you can have free written walktrough of almost every games that exist. just write the name of the game and do a search. :) The best way to use a walktrough, if you do it, is to always play your game windows, that way you can minimize the game, when you are not sure of what to do, or are completely blocked, mostly in puzzles games, look and read, and after, minimize walktrough, and go back to playing your game. :) And also a gamefaqs, you will have the metascore of games + walktrough. :)

Older games were like this one, no holding hands or path on the mininap to the people you were supposed to talk, on the other hand, i played like 8 times w1 and never encountered a bug per se

All three games are good but Witcher 2 and 3 are definitely the superior games. Personally I can't really choose which is best, as the main story in Witcher 2 was to me more engaging but everything else in witcher 3 is just better

W1's biggest strength to me is it's storytelling. Combat is okay once you get used to it - I hated it at first, but like it quite a bit now that I'm used to it, it's just kinda wonky. Love its potion crafting system.

W2 is absolutely fantastic in its storytelling. Graphics are a major upgrade from 1. Combat is again, ok - very different from 1, very similar to 3, just older / a little more clunky. Crafting is still very good. I love that they took the relationship management to another level with regard to Geralt's options with Triss, as well as the sex scenes in the game - they are the most "adultesque" and well-done I've seen in any game from the perspective of just how well they are done - it adds to the immersion and your emotional empathy to the character in a very positive way, in my opinion.

W3 is probably the best game I've ever played. Story is again, absolutely fantastic, and very deep with great attention to detail. Combat is further improved, but I don't like the simplistic potion / bomb crafting system. Sex scenes are a bit lazy (cookie cutter) and dialed down from Witcher 2 - mods will help with some of it, but overall I was disappointed with this part of Witcher 3, after how exceptionally good Witcher 2 was in that area.

I highly recommend all 3 games overall.

Why the hell does sex matter?

Witcher 1 had an old-school RPG charm about it. Witcher 2 played like a console port that ran on rails. Witcher 3 is an open-world, Elder Scrolls-like game.
3>1>>>2.

Witcher 3 is garbage with causal gameplay and pathetic story, worthless filler quests and irrelevant characters in main story. Witcher 2 had better story and combat when Witcher 1 was most authentic. 2>1>>>>>Inquisition>>>Witcher 3.

As I just played witcher 1 and watch my friend play witcher 3 (but I will play W2 and W3 after this)

Comparison Witcher 1 to Witcher 3 (only the mechanics aspect)

Pros : No need to repair armor, I can set my running speed with swapping attack style fast which is fun for me, strong or group, No stamina bar, Has group style attack,

Cons : Cannot store more than 2 steel swords and 1 silver sword in inventory, cannot jump, no horse, Cannot meditate anywhere you like

#Correct me if I am wrong
Well for me is:
1. Witcher 3 (zero argument) = huge open world, tons of awesome stories, conversations, best witcher combat, lore is amazing, tons of monsters, deep RPG mechanics and powers, etc.
2. Witcher 2 = story, better combat than 1, graphics, conversation choices, 16 endings, shorter but good
3. Witcher 1 = endings where not so cool, combat is way too easy (spam spam spam), story is great, animations are stiff, ok character design/ monster (but not like witcher 3 or 2)

Witcher 1: I'm not sure why, but I just loved this game. Sure, the other two excel in different areas but there is just something about the classic experience. Probably going to go back for a 2nd playthrough pretty soon. Also the best poker dice experience.

Witcher 2: Best main story out of the other two, hands down and no contest. It also feels a lot more personal and you see growth Geralt has alongside the character you choose to rep. Easily replayable. Combat is pretty weak though, if not outright buggy. Music is a plus too.

Witcher 3: A lot you can do, tons of great side quests. The wild hunt and b&w quest lines are ok, but Heart of Stone definitely was a bar higher. Huge map, fantastic music, and out of the other two, I think the game play is a bit better here.

To rank which I liked best: 2,3,1

yeah thats kinda weird lol, just go bust a nut before you play the game if you that horny. Sex scenes only really exist for that reason, bonding with characters happens through dialogue.

irl yes, in entertainment not, that should be pretty obvious

riight and they are a very reputable company :)

jokes aside w3 would barely be any bit different without the sex scenes. It brings some degree of realism, but aside from that the character bonding wouldve been completely the same if those were skipped since it happens throughout dozens of hours. Especially so when all of them were the same, so they just served to fill that horny story hole. If anything you can pretty much compare witcher to a full tv series, and thats the part where its lacking - just serving for entertainment rather than bonding.

though just by looking at your profile it becomes apparent that you are playing the game horny as hell, if your priority is to make female characters look as erotic as possible
