Tbh, I wouldn't enjoy the Witcher 1 if it was remade in the Witcher 3 graphics.

Thats the magic of the trilogy, where every game has its uniqueness which makes each one special in its own way.

The music, atmosphere and lore of Witcher 1 takes it a long way where a different engine would not provide it justice.

Witcher 1 is Witcher 1 and cannot be made in a Witcher 3 or 2 graphic - similarly, Witcher 2 stands out on its own too.

I totally agree with you,but i hate to hear from others that witcher 1 is bad game only because they get used to the new graphics in video games...

Witcher 2 is the most lore-dense book among the three games. The Sword of Destiny + Witcher 2 will blow your mind away. Read the books side by side while playing the games for the best effect. You will be blow away by the number of hidden references and lore in each games, especially 1....2 and 3 its difficult to choose xD

Cheers.

It shares similar themes absolutely, but dig deep through the Witcher 2 and you'll find the very obvious Saskia reference to Borkh, Meve, and all the politcial intrigue which the Witcher books actually have. The Loc Muinne scene reading of the Charter scene was a brilliant nod to the Thanedd Coup and need I even mention the mind blowing ending which segways into the Witcher 3? Personally, I loved the extension of CDPR from where the books left off. Very nicely done. But in Witcher 3 lots of lore as sacrificed for a more global audience, which was okay tbh. But Witcher 2 takes it lore wise.

Witcher 1 actually holds up quite well in 2K.

The first game was perfect. The graphics fit the atmosphere and the soundtrack perfectly. And who cares about the combat in a single player game?
