The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

"Minimum System Requirements Not Met" But they are
I can successfully run Witcher 2 comfortably and Witcher 3 as well(with just a bit of trouble loading in areas packed with clutter)

Yet when I press Play on Witcher 1 it gives me that message "Minimum system requirements not met"

I wondered if somehow the first Witcher game was more high end than the other two games so took the time to compare and saw that my computer more than fit the minimum system requirements(I also previously played and beat this game as you can see and did so on this very computer)

so my question is not if my specs are sufficient or not, but specifically is there a sort of bug or something that is affecting the game and not letting people play? I'd love to play this game again because I wanna do a genocide route Geralt through all three games, but worst comes to worst I import a save from Nexus to Witcher 2 and just play from there I guess!

PS the first workaround in that link can be done in other way by going to steam library and:

1. Right click game, click properties.
2. Click Launch Options.
3. Type "-dontForceMinReqs" (without quotes).
4. Save options.

But if you used second fix then you don't need this first solution specially since it locks texture to low if you use first solution.
Second solution if you brave enough to try just don't use first solution with this:

Disable DirectDraw Emulation Mode
This fix is best applied by an experienced user. Incorrect registry edits can seriously disable your PC! Proceed at your own risk.
  1. Open up regedit (type the name into the Start Menu's search bar and press ↵ Enter)
  2. Export a backup of your registry, just in case.
  3. Nagivate to the following location:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\DirectDraw
  4. You should see the key EmulationOnly set to 1. Double click the key and change its value to 0.
  5. Close the registry editor, reboot your computer, and retry the game.
  6. When you do not plan on playing the game for a while, edit the registry entry back to 1 as it may interfere with games using DirectDraw heavily, such as older 2D games.

PS people get this bug regardless if they meet minimum requirement and it's random.

At one time I was able to run The Witcher, but now I get the same situation as stated above. Using the "-dontForceMinReqs" stops the error box, but the The Witcher stops running within 5 seconds with no visual cue that if ever did anything, other than its name in my Library losing its "running" status.
I've disabled Direct Draw emulation mode according to the second provided solution, but that makes no difference, and then I'll still get the "Minimum System Requirements Not Met" error unless I leave the first solution in place. I also have cloud saving disabled.

Running Windows 7 -64. I'd post this as a new thread, but everyone is likely to jump on the "Google it" or "look at old posts" bandwagon, and I already have done both of those things. Thanks in advance.
