How do I make Geralt immortal in the witcher 1?

I can't beat "the beast" in chapter 1. If the 1st boss fight is like that I can't imagine the rest. I don't consider myself as an untalented player most of the time I survive very good on normal and hard difficulties in various games. I like fighting. But this game's combat system is so ridiculous that I just want an immortality cheat so I can complete the story.

Is there a mod?
A trainer?
A console command?
A command I can add to a game file by opening it with notepad?
Anything?
Please someone help.

OMG LOL That's my very self who posted that thread. Those tactics recommended didn't work for me either. I don't want to deal with this game's weird combat system I just want to see the story at this point.
Checked nexus website again, silly me, noticed you can skip that membership purchase step, and create an account.

Result:

Just dont play whole game without cheats imho. Because tw1 is great game. 2is passable but 1 is really good. Do most side quests, collect all romance cards etc.

I know. I'm not skipping anything and not cheating anything else. I'm just immortal with the mod and that's it. When enemies attack me I don't take damage, so I don't die, so I don't have to struggle with combat. Because it's really bad and I simply can't do it. For all other stuff no cheating. Including money.

I've got a fix for low frame rates, go into task manager. details. Right click the witcher then select 'afinnity'. you can select multiple cores, otherwise you are really hit by single core performance. My 4790 k at 5 Ghz still struggles but it helps. A bit off topic but i just wanted to help.

Hope you get that done man. Its a sincere pain, that beat, especially in hard mode. Did you prepare for it? Did you drink the portions and oil your blade? In Witcher, these things matter. Load back to a previous save and get a little stronger and invest in Aard. That will make things simpler. Use Specter Oil on your blade and drink Swallow and Thunderbolt.

In TW1 is better to use oil and potions on bosses, and Aard on Barghets.
