Is the only way to return home by using the bucket? It says if used in battle, you may lose bread…but how else can I use it outside of battle as I can only view my card pile? Should I focus on just getting bread so I don’t run out? I messed up my first 2 runs and figuring out how the whole game works because I want to defend but is the best way to keep redrawing and wait for a shield? Tried the demo and loved the combat system. Just wondering: 1. if the children die in battle, will they be gone forever? Or suffer injury? 2. Is there time limit (aside from the battle timer), like you have to get X breads before Day Y, otherwise all children starve to death? Thanks for any insights....

So where do I click to offer bread to the Sacred Tree? I've clicked everywhere in the commune and I have not found a way to get some interface for bread offering to pop up or even a dialogue box. This is incredibly unintuitive.
