I believe last time I checked said it was rated M due to:
Blood
Violence
Language
and some other stuff i think.
The previous games were actually rated T, but, yeah, there really isn't a huge difference between the T-rating on the previous games and the M-rating on this game. The previous games outlined alcohol and tobacco references, blood, mild language, suggestive themes, tobacco use, and violence as concerns.
Anyway, this is what's on the ESRB Website [www.esrb.org]:
While there doesn't seem to be a big difference in the content description, the rating summary cites scenes of violence (the torture and shootings). I believe that this game will have violence with greater intensity and appearance (i.e. there's going to be more of it, and some of it is going to be more graphic and "disturbing") than the previous games, hence the M-rating.
thats what i read in an article some time ago so cannot be sure
Batmobile havent lethal weapons.
I haven't ideas why ESRB rated it "M".
The reason is most likely because of some torture scenes that appear in the game.
I think city should have been rated M to begin with so I'm glad they are putting the correct rating on it this time.
