Explosive Gel Will Not Detonate

Game keeps telling me to hit Middle Mouse and yet nothing happens, what do I have to do to detonate the explosive gel?

gotta aim at the gel, a rectangle will appear over it, then middle mouse

do i have to hold right click and aim the gel gun at it? they have rectangles on them i am tapping mm, i'm trying to hold it for a few seconds..nothing works.

Spray it, by pressing 3 first, right click, left click on the area. Go away, aim at it, press middle mouse button.

yea nah, none of that ♥♥♥♥ works, my game is bugged, I have restarted it and put down new charges, can detonate ♥♥♥♥, all my controls are on default.

I cannot find anything in kybindings where it refers to detonation being mm, all i see is this cape attack move on mm

So yea it work by pushing in left stick on a gamepad, which isnt even listed on the controls for gamepad and there is no keybind for detonation on the kyboard mouse controls, is this an ovesight? as far as I can tell there is no way to detonate with mm, it just doesn't work.

I know its been 5 years but has anyone figured this out? The mm button seems to be really finicky on this game sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Currently, I am in a situation in the game where I have to detonate an explosive gel to destroy a weak wall but instead of detonating it instead shoots out explosive gel when I hold right-click and mm button. If anyone has figured out why this is happening please let me know. It seems like it just may be part of the many glitches this game has.

No idea, I never had the slightest issue with the controls even with the buggy launch version. But I have only ever played this with a controller. I would never try to play a third person action game with KB+M.

Solution for PC: rebind the Capestun to Q as primary. Default it is set as alt on Q and the middle mouse as main. Just get rid of the middle mouse input and you can detonate with Q, after hovering over the set charge.

I actually started playing the game again recently, getting hyped for Arkham Knights so I bought the dlc for 20 and then it went on sale for 5 bucks just a few days later hah. But yea I just played it with a controller this time around. I'm sure someone will find this helpful. the game pad can be a pain if you want to look up while flying because you are already using your thumb on A.
