I agree with deimos, watching the VC installation it appeared to miss a step
Go to Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Knight\_CommonRedist\vcredist\
Install both 2010 and 2012 manually and then launch the game. Apparently I was missing 2010 x64.
I can't refund the game sadly because I pre-orded a Steam key very cheap from a different website so I could get the Harley DLC and the worst part isn't that my game won't even run it's that I didn't even get the promised Harley DLC. Though the website is trying to get it for me so that's good of them.
I can't believe I broke my no pre-order rule for this, I dodged a bullet with that pile of trash called Mortal Kombat X but instead jumped right into the shotgun blast that was Arkham Knight, well at least I'll never break my rule again now that I've had this reminder, they better fix this damn game soon.
-Go to Steam
-Libraby
-Right click the game
-Properties
-Startup Options
-Paste: "-windowed"
This fixed my issue magicaly, you can also tweak alot more heres the steam page with more info: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1040-JWMT-2947
-Disabling/unplugging second monitor
-Disabling wireless controller
-Removing wireless dongle.
-Opting out of the Steam Beta client.
-Fresh driver install of AMD's latest beta drivers and latest PhysX
Build is FX-8320 @ 3.5ghz
Radeon HD 7850
16GB RAM
Hope this helps hash out a cause.
I don't have a second monitor.
I'm using a wired Xbox 360 controller
My wireless is internal to the PC
I have also opted out
I am using the latest Batman ready nVidia drivers
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64\batmanAK.exe
It tries to boot and then crashes, no error code, no log, nothing.
