In-home streaming not working

Game starts up and runs on host machine but all I get is a black sceen on my TV with the music playing in the background.

Anyone else get this or know how to fix it?

P.S. Streaming has worked fine for me with pretty much any other game I've tried.

Same issue here, but I don't even get the music.

I think its a bug with Steam, game cant be streamed as well, if you invite a friend to watch it freez

Worked fine for me after I tried streaming without Big Picture mode

Welp, now it's stopped working again. It launches minimised on the host machine, and I get a view of the host machine's desktop. Switching to AK via the Windows taskbar results in AK crashing to desktop.

Launching on the host machine first, then the client, results in a CTD. I don't think that would work anyway, since you're essentially telling the host machine to launch it twice.

I figured out what was causing the problem for me - FRAPS.
After I disabled it streaming works just fine.

However, IHS really isn't doing this poorly optimized game any favors (i.e. its pretty much unplayable).

I figured out a workaround for the game launching minimised: Alt-tabbing on the host machine rather than using the task bar switches to AK without causing it to crash.

It also seems to launch minimised less often since I undid the editing of the .ini file recommended in optimisation threads.

Aside from that issue, it streams perfectly fine for me, and I can sometimes forget I'm not playing it locally. And I haven't had any of the framerate issues others have had. Basically the game works perfectly aside from that one IHS thing.

Oh, it does also crash every time I exit it, whether I'm running it locally or using IHS. But crashing on exit is kind of moot.
