Pullling to ledges
Is there any f*cking logic to it? Sometimes my character will pull to a ledge and immediately climb and jump over it, breaking stealth and drawing attention to himself, which is the last thing I want. But then other time he will pull and decide to hang from it when I'm trying to escape, thus turning into an immobile target for all those enemies trying to shoot him. I tried so many things and nothing seems to work consistently. This game movement is so f*cking janky, characters keep doing random ♥♥♥♥ all the time. Most likely coming from the fact that it's a console game designed around primitive controls of a gamepad, but still, it's infuriating, especially coming from Thief where somehow I have a proper and full control over a character. I'm trying to do that challenge as Nightwing in GCPD and it's driving me insane. I would have done it ages ago if Nightwing could pull to those ledges and hang from them instead of climbing over them right in front of enemies.

IIRC when you grapple to the ledge and continue holding grapple button the character will hang and without holding button will immediately climb it.

I found it;'s all about whether I hold the "don't climb" as I grapple up
The button was never clearly explained by the game, but it's there
That button is R1 for me, hold it = bats will not climb up / will hang at the rim
Don't hold it = bats will climb up if there is room / even if it's suicide
