is this game connected to the 3 previous games
i was thinking about buying it but do i never played the older games is the story connected the them ?

Yes I would recommend playing atleast Batman: Arkham City, before you play this game.

Play Batman Arkham Origins
then Asylum then City And totally skip this one.....until the patch comes out or they re-release this piece of ♥♥♥♥♥ and fix performance issues.

The stories of each game in the series are mostly independant, but the story does make reference to previous storypoints in several places.

It's more or less exactly the same as it was in AC and AO with some further enchancements and additions.

Arkham City is pretty much essential to the story of this game. Arkham Asylum is also influential, to a much lesser degree. There are a few references to Arkham Origins, but nothing that can't be understood from the context in which they appear.
