That Knightfall ending (Spoilers)
So, after all that work; I really liked the game. Aside from the insane amount of car time.

That being said:

I kinda feel shafted with the ambiguous ending, regarding bruce's/batman's fate. I really didn't like hearing any explanation for the sudden dissapearance of the Joker titan virus(especially what exactly happened during that scarecrow reveal sequence) from the story line. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but we heard nothing after locking Robin up at Panessa right?

At this point, waiting to have all that answered in DLC, burns.

EDIT: also Jason vanishing after he helps you, leaves me a little puzzled why no resolution.

Many things that are happening are only in Batmans mind and are showing his fight with his greatest fear which in the end he wins. Jason became Red Hood after leaving. [/quote]

Usually the simplest answer is the most likely one.

Bruce faked his death and became fear itself by using the fear toxin to convince criminals that the "ghost of batman" is haunting them.

it's brilliant actually, it's the kind of deterent that is irrational and cannot be easily ignored once established. it should even last decades after he's no longer there.

it's a nice way to end it as you can't easily come up with an textbook ending since there's no arkham asylum to lock the criminals in and no joker -and even that didn't stop him!-.

I really doubt that he's using the fear toxin, pretty sure the part that makes people think that was more symbolic of their fears, since right before that Gordon (or Bruce, can't remember) says that the criminals just need something to fear, and besides the family in the alley would have gotten gassed too if that was the case

Also that was definitely the batsuit from batman beyond with the smoke and levitating, not sure if it was actually supposed to be Terri in it since the timeline would be pretty far off, but they also put Tim Drake as the robin in the batgirl dlc, so maybe they threw continuity out the window again

it's just a theory so I could be wrong, but bruce probably found a controlled way to administer the fear toxin (gas is not the only form afterall).

also, note how similar the batman looked when scarecrow saw him while under the fear toxin and how the thugs saw the batman at the ending. I believe this is what rocksteady was going for.

there's no way bruce commited suicide, it just doesn't fit his personality, I can easily see him fighting crime till he can't stand straight, which is what any comic depicting an older batman did.
