That doesn't mean I wouldn't have preferred it given that half the textures don't even load...
What part of the game? It has one loading screen when you start the game or when you die....not while you glide around through out the city or not when you enter the rooms or exit them.
Don't know what game you've been playing but I've not seen one
For the most part; that's been exactly the case with open world games. The only load screens I remember seeing in Arkham Knight were when loading a previous save (like if I'd just died) or if I'd just fired up the game and hit "Continue" on the main menu.
EDIT: Witcher 3 was the same; only load screens in that were when starting a new game, loading an existing one, reloading after death, or travelling to a whole new world map (the last of which isn't an option in Arkham Knight as it only has one world map - Witcher 3 has three main ones that are each absolutely massive and three smaller ones).
The mind boggles.
Gtfo...
Giving it time to load during save load and restart/respawn allows it to refresh itself.
