shield enemies,HOW to do an aerial attack?!
i mean it says "oh click the middle mouse button + space + space"

You were trying to counter. Cape stun them and hit space twice.

You have to actually be close enough to one of the goons with the shields for the cape-stun to hit him, too, or nothing will happen, I don't think. Have to make contact.

Honestly if you have it, I'd suggest just using the disarm and destroy move on them. For some reason I have more trouble with the shield enemies than anything else in the game.

Cape stun + jump button twice. B+A+A on a controller.

I don't know why, I had the compulsion to jump over the shield enemies and try to attack them from behind, even though I'm pretty sure in all the Arkham games featuring them, you do the cape stun and aerial smash, lol.

Seems like a logical move, but unfortunately, it just doesn't work in this game.... but it does work that way in Shadow Of Mordor, another WB game that borrows heavily on Arkham fighting mechanics. Go figure. :-P

is it me or is this move much harder to pull off than in AA or AC. most of the time i swing my cape and either jump over the guy or just stand there like a dufus.

i'm doing B, A, A on xbox one controller and it will sometimes trigger the right move but probably only 1 in 5 tries.

in the previous games this move triggered correctly without a hitch and in the AR challenges especially was heavily used.

so is it me? or is it the game?

Old thread is old, but for me I found the problem was I had a tendency to hold the space bar on the last press was screwing me up. once I got into the habit of releasing it the move started to work as expected. Same with sliding.

Cape stun the shield user, then redirect into them (like you would normally jump over someone in combat) and if done correctly, Batman will knock them down.
