Batman Arkham knight broke my PC?!

As many other users I could not run the game without constant crashes and lame fpc. Just past a bit at start. I did not want to try the Nvidia driver 353.30 cause I had already nasty experiencies with drivers updates. But finally I decided to install it. I did not notice anything better and anything worse though. But after I came back to Batman Origins game with the intention to finish it ( I had some problems with it before and game was too tough for me at some moments, so it was kept.) Just when I was playing it for the last time I had no any problems with it and now, after I installed Batman knight and new driver the whole PC crashed when I tried to play Origins. I blamed the driver and got back my previous. The game crashed the whole PC again and again, and over again. So I started to think that may be latest update of Origins screwed the game and after searching on net I found people with the same problems but dated more ealier. I made a few posts respecting this on Arkham Origins thread. Then I was playing other game and bamm!...same problem...whole PC crashed: "black screen, buzzing sound", is like a BSOD but without it. Reinstalling different drivers helped for a while, then again ...no way to play. I checked files, HDD, memory, all seemed O.K. I put off the video card and inserted it back...No effect. I had no remedy as to make repair installation of Windows and was in vain. Then I re-installed driver again and see what happens. It works for one day, next day...broken again. So I seriously started to think that Batman knight ( that I uninstalled ) or driver 353.30, or Batman Origins broke my PC. I have read that Batman Knight has Denuvo which can damage HDD. Or driver can damage PC also. It happened before with 320.18 which fried a lot of cards and some others. So be warned before install 353.30. Any expert´s opinions? Too many coincidences that 2 games crash PC with the same mode. new game and new hardware the first 2 to 4 drivers will have issues no matter what also check your intel driver for storage devices too i saw that in you list of errors you posted ahci or raid drivers

if you can boot in safe mode it is hadrware related if the issue that is in regluar windows has is gone in safe mode then you can narrow the issue

Books do, in fact, have paragraphs. They're used to break up thoughts and give what's being read a rhythm that's easy for people to read.

OP, might be time to replace your PSU. A bad PSU can lead to all kinds of stability issues that make it look like other parts of your system are the problem. Such as your gpu drivers.

Books have paragraphs, it is true. My text contains 25 short lines to the line where the description of dump file started. It looks clear and reads well. I do not see really a problem. The book may have the whole page without any paragraph. I did not oblige anyone to read my thread, if you are not interested.
In spite of my good willing to warn people to considerate the installation of game in its current state and driver made by Nvidia for supposedly run it successfully, I got all kinds of absurd comments. Only a few users said things related to my problem.
If saying about paragraphs (I made them a lot in my other comments) or saying that I used some kind of "tweaked " drivers, while I talked about official drivers, some consider as help, take it for yourself.
Do you think I did not try clean installation of driver ? That was the first thing I did.
After I made all check on system files and there were not problems found, the only thing I could do is repair of Windows installation and as I said it did not help.
Your PC works fine, you install this game, try to play it, then install new driver and after you are not able to play any other game. Your whole PC crashes each time you try to play any other game. Hardware was bad ?! Suddenly it turned bad? What an absurd!
Other. In my last post I said that I solved my case, I had to buy new video card. My system has all minimum requisits for Batman knight. I did not try it on high settings, of course.
Now I am good so far but I will wait if this game ever be fixed. I have read they promised to September or November.

I dont say the driver can mess up the game or windows, but hard to believe actual HW problems/failure developed because of that. I have played AK about 70 hours without any crash or Windows crash, have experienced some dips in performance and stutters, but no crashes. Have tried all kind of drivers, still no crash. I suspect something in your configuration got messed up when installing the drivers or got broken in registry or Windows or something triggered the weakest link (software), dont think the hardware got damaged via driver installation though. My rig works quite well, some stutters but playable, but not kind of ordinary rig with 3XSLI. SLI disabled and 1 GPU as dedicated physX card. As said before, many kinds of problems exist but hard to verify from where the problems start. For example a bad PSU can under heavy stress make the PC unstable etc. Hope you get it sorted out!

I still had luck. My card was working but artifacts were presented, not that horrible way like in video.

I'm glad you solved your issue by replacing hardware, but if you read what I wrote, I said "from the sound of it, your PC was already having issues." The fact that replacing hardware resolved it both proves I was right and also proves the game was not at cause, faulty hardware probably was.

Buck I applaud you for trying to educate morons but I think you're wasting your time. You're constantly in the forums trying to be the voice of reason and always getting $hitted on imo. I got tired of it, so I stopped doing it myself. More power to ya m8. Just know that I get what you're saying in your posts. Most people are so set in what they think is right, that they don't realize how ignorant they actually are. I love seeing posts like yours. I'd suggest you refrain from posting in threads like this though. Holy necro, Batman. This thread is over 7 years old. Games cannot damage hardware. The most they can do is reveal a pre-existing hardware problem (like insufficient PSU, or insufficient cooling).
