How about a Batman game based on the original 1966 TV series?
If not an entirely new game, it could simply just be a DLC.

I'd love to have the combat mechanics, open world and game engine of the Arkham series to be used to create a 1966 Batman game with Adam West and Burt Ward doing the voices, along with the original cast (for those that are still around of course). I'd love to see POW!!!, CRUNCH!!!, ZING!!! appear for whenever hits are made in combat. It would awesome to have all the cheesiness the show gave us and more. From Robin's cheesy one-liners to The Riddler's terrible riddles.

I think the game would be amazing if done by RockSteady in the same essense as what they've done with the Arkham series.

Am I the only one that thinks this would be incredible to see? I'd happily pay £60 for a premium edition of it on Steam.

would be an amazing idea and i think would be a breath of fresh air they don't need to do something big just some sort of standalone dlc of knight (once its patched) would be amazing

The TV series was indeed cheesy. But in my opinion, that's what gave it a lot of character.

Better based on 1989.

Holy Rusted Metal Batman that's a great idea.........now if only we can greenscreen everything, make it acceptable for a portly man to run around in revealing lycra and get BIFF, BAM and POW to appear when we hit stuff we could have a winner right here.....

The 1960's series wasn't really Batman, it was a parody of Batman.

They could just do that in this game while using the TV show outfit. Whenever you use it Adam West is the voice of Batman and every attack has a POW! SOCK! display.
Of course you could always just play Freedom Force with the Batman and Robin skins.

Already has the POW! and ZAP! pop ups and the cheesy narration.

It's the original though, so you could say the Arkham series isn't really Batman.

Exactly, I'd be happy enough with that. I mean, I'd love a full game but the DLC would be amazing in itself.
There is 2 men on a boat and 3 cigarettes and no matches how do they manage to smoke?

...no it's not. Batman started in 1940. The 1960's series wasn't even the first time a TV show or movie had been made. Another fun fact: early Batman was a lot more like Batman is right now: dark and violent. The 1960's series deliberate made it "campy".

But yeah, there were several Batman films made throughout the 1940's, so the 60's series is not "the original". If you want to argue "the orignial", you have to discount everything except the early 1940's comic books.

I meant in terms of TV series/films, not the shorts produced before hand or the comics. If I remember correctly as well, Batman in the shorts was a fat guy in a costume similar to the 1966 batman costume. Aside from it being in black and white, what makes it similar to the current Batman franchise?

It would be funny. I can imagine the soundtrack "Batmaaaan.... tadadadadadadada" and the punch effects: "POW", "BUMP".

This could be the first mission of the game: "get rid of the bomb":
