Using an Xbox controller to play
Is anyone else having issues using an xbox controller while playing the game? Every time I use RB in the game it freezes the controller and I have to unplug and plug the controller back in for it to work again.

I tried the same thing on Arkham City and the same thing happened. I don't know what could be wrong with my controller. I've updated the drivers, it's not using a 3rd party software, used different usb ports. The button works, it's just after that one use it freezes the whole controller until I have to unplug and plug in the controller

I use an official wireless Xbox 360 controller with a wireless adapter. It works perfectly. Never had a problem with it for games that support controllers.

I'm having the exact same issue. Did you find a solution?

The controller works fine until I press RB and then the controller stops working until I unplug and plug it back in.

I did some further testing and found that it only freezes like this if RB is actually activating the grapple hook. If I'm in the bat-mobile it doesn't freeze, but changes the camera view like it should.

I can also see in the menu if I go there afterwards with the keyboard, that the game seems to be constantly jumping back and forth between showing keyboard and controller text in menus, like a button is constantly being pressed or something.

Issue is the same on USB 2, USB 3 and USB 3.1 ports.

The really strange thing is that this was all working perfectly a few days ago with the same controller, but then I build my new PC and now the issue appeared.

My new mainboard is an MSI X99 Raider, which I'm guessing is the part that has changed that could be affecting this.

I didn't really read through the comments, but make sure your drivers are up to date for the controller

Yea, it does it for other games. Whenever I turn off the vibration for the other games it stops the freezing

I still have no idea why my controller did that in the first place, but I'm glad I found a fix so I didn't have to spend more money on another controller

plug the controller directly to pc usb don't use a usb hub.

Where can you buy an XBox One controller that works with Windows?
