Textures are ugly

Most of the threads here focus on the terrible framerate of the game...
But can we all agree that the texture are also hideous ?
The game has high requirements for blurry textures everywhere, the signs are ugly, the cars are ugly, the groudn is ugly, the thugs are horrible.
You can't even recognize the Penguin symbol on their clothes.
The previous Batman Arkham games looked better !

It even looks like some kind of bug, like if the textures need time to load...
But it does not matter if I wait forever, it will never load !

Changing settings barely makes any difference.
Sorry to repeat myslef, but I am really shocked by the comparaison of very low performances VS bad visuals in this game.

Do the consoles version have the same texture problems ?

The textures on PC are a step down from console. On PS4, for example, the game looks nice but there are many posts showing comparisons that demonstrate just how bad of a port this is on the texture side of things.

I've heard people complaining about ugly textures before, but I don't even know what to say about how bad that is. Looks like a texture from a Nintendo 64 game

Yeah I'm actually doing pretty decent with the framerates but the textures are crazy horrible in some places. Like they're offensive. They are so bad they offend my computer for having to run them.

I've noticed that textures take FOREVER to load in, so i'm looking at blurry textures well into the scene and they dont pop in until I've pretty much wrapped up what I have to do in the area.

I'm pretty sure the performance of this game is lacking because this whole game is choking on itself to load things.

LOL, no ultra settings and the graphics at best looks similar to it's console counterpart. Say what? Most of our rigs are stronger than some cheap 300-400 dollar console. GTA V on pc looked a lot better than it's ps4 counter part. Not only was it running at a higher fps but it also was capable of ultra/high graphics mixed together.

It is a pretty pathetic excuse for a port and now I understand why they made it free with new GTX cards.

Thx, but this is a bad comparaison.
Because it is showing the best textured character in the whole game.
Maybe the PS4 version is a bit better, but batman's textures are far from terrible even on PC.
I am really talking about ATROCIUS textures of thugs, cars, signs, and so on.

The thugs looked better in Arkham Asylum !
Just look at their clothes, their tatoes, it just gives me want to puke, I am not kiding.
Why whould they look uglier on PS4 than the ones on the PS3 games.
I'm pretty sure thugs on previous PS3 Arkham games looked better than that.

I know what you mean about texture popping, my comparison is just to show the obvious downgrade compared to consoles WITHOUT texture loading issues. The quality of the textures themselves are lower on PC than PS4. Even the best looking character in the game has obvious signs of this (as shown in the image).

It's the fault of the UE3 engine, it doesn't always recognize the need to load the higher res-textures. My batman has rain-textures... never seem then fail to load.

I agreed textures is too ugly. I have stooped play at Poison Ivy at Prison. I cannot go on...it just toooo ugly...

wait for the high texture pack ? recomend specs where 10-15GB more than minimum ppl where guessing its for higher textures, in game max is medium i dont think iv ever seen that as the max settings before :)

i dont know what the ♥♥♥♥ your doing whether it be cranking up the settings when your pc cant handle it or what but on low/normal my game looks nothing like that ♥♥♥♥

Give us a screenshots of thugs (lying on the floor to have a close look), of cars and signs, I am really curious...

I've seen a few grainy textures here and there. One example was when Batman rips the cover off a control panel. The cover is really low res for something so important to the shot. Most textures look pretty good to me tho.
