Update Required "Disk Write Error"

I've fully downloaded the game (watched it go from 0 to 100%). Once it hits 100% it stops. In the downloads section it says "Update Required" and reads "Disk Write Error" under status. I've tried restarting, re-installing the game 3 times, and verifying the game cache. Nothing works. Also there is a ton of space on my hard drive (200GB). So I have no clue why the game refuses to install. OS is Windows 10 (which shouldn't be an issue). Trying to run the game states "An error occured while updating Batman Arkham Knight (disk write error)."

Any ideas on how to fix?

I think its a windows 10 issue my brother had a similer issue. Can you open a command prompt with admin privilages?

Bottom left, right click. select command prompt (admin)

Cool soz for telling you how to suck eggs. no just able to open it. My brother couldn't install anything or open the command prompt admin

No worries, sounds like his OS may fracked admin privileges with the W10 upgrade.

Yeah it did had 2 options create a new offline profile or reinstall he chose the latter works fine now

Reinstalling Windows seems to have fixed it

I have exactly the same issue, i get the message update required, dsik write error and i too am a windows 10 user. I see that reinstalling windows seems to fix the problem but i don't really want to do that, is there no other fix for this problem?

Just to let anyone know who is having this same issue i found a fix on another thread.
If you go to your steamapps common folder (where all your games are) there will probably be a Batman Arkham Knight file rather than a folder. If you delete this file and restart steam it should say install complete, game ready. Hope that helps anyone who has this issue.

I love you greymack! Ive tried 3 times to download this huge game on my 400mbps connection, over 24 hours to download, and finally it works! im happier than a dung beetle in a manure factory!
