normal vs high textures
Has anyone been able to spot any differences? I don't seem to be seeing any changes.

Nothing eye catching for sure.

There is notable difference, especially on walls and texts, use your eyes or just screenshot the same fragment with different textures.

Threadstarter was asking about a difference between normal and high textures.. not low and high.

Between low and normal there are differences... but normal and high is the same. So after this patch in the menu we get a high texture option.. but it´s the same as normal.

actually scratch that, i was comparing low and normal by accident, no difference in the suit between normal and high. still haven't found a difference. low to normal= huge difference. normal to high doesn't seem to be any.

Same here.. normal to high no noticeable difference... the textures are just like Arkham City. Great game.. but i was hoping for better textures compared to their last game.... i was wrong

Glad to hear that's the case, ever since i set texture to normal i can barely see any stutters or freezes. other game settings is on and high with the exception of Nvidia's gameworks of course. game runs at 45-60 fps on 1440p (1080p monitor and using DSR). game looks pretty good.

my rig:

i5 3570(non k)
8GB
GTX 970
Windows 10 64bit

I did some comparisons myself last night and I wasn't able to see any differences between normal and high. Maybe it's because I'm also running 16x anisotropic filtering. Maybe turn anisotropic filtering off and test again? If AF makes normal look exactly like high there's no reason to use high.

No difference, and i am playing on 4k Rig. THe strange thing is in the option it tells me that the game will requared more then my GTX980 to run with high textures but to my suprize my FPS is the same as on medium textures, which makes me think that there no high textures in the game yet...

Yep performance is the same using both normal and high. Maybe they are going to roll out a Texture Pack like they did SOM or at least planned to before they messed up the launch.

Maybe the high textures option is just a placebo and doesn't actually do anything.

OP here, there is a slight difference in the batsuit, and NPC clothing shadows and details, I found it out later. other than that, I could spot no difference.

check the mesh on batman's neck, easiest to notice.

700Mb of Video memory just for a couple of textures doesnt sounds right to me.

Yeah I noticed this too, can anyone take comparison pictures between normal and high? It would be really weird if there weren't any difference at all.
