Does anyone have any idea if AMD FX-4300 graphics card supports DX 11?
I'm window shopping for a new pc and I don't want to spend money on a pc with a card that cant run games with dx 11. one of the candidates has an AMD FX-4300 card. I've tried looking up online but no conclusive results.

You mean your CPU? Or do you have a separate GPU?

The FX-4300 is a CPU (a rather low end one at that), not a GPU. It does not have any integrated graphics (and even if it did it wouldn't run this game). Are you sure you're looking at the right thing?

What do you have right now? As long as your current CPU//motherboard isn't too old, you can just get a GPU for a couple hundred and be able to play games. List your current specs and then we can suggest the best way to upgrade.

You should build your own PC. Any prebuilt PC within the 1k$ range will rip you off, and making a pc is really easy and not nearly as complex as it may seem. Go over to reddit on /r/buildapc and /r/buildapcforme and see what you can get at the 1k range, it will easily max out most games.

I might just try that

Ok so you currently have a laptop. That means building new is your best option. Those threads should help.

Please don't buy a pre built machine! I just recently built a pc for about $1100 and every game I throw at it runs flawless, even arkham knight. If you can't build a pc yourself, take the parts to a friend that can help or maybe a tech store, pay a little fee to have a tech store esemble it for you.
Trust me though dude if you buy a pre built....you just shot yourself in the foot.

recent update a friend saw my topic and offered to buy me a Alienware X51 AX51R2-9300BK Desktop for "early christmas" (face palming already) but would that be a sufficient pc?.

Also, read a little, do some research, it seems like you are mixing CPU and GPU, I would also reccomend PC Partpicker webpage, you can test builds there and see compatible pieces with each type of Motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.

CPU is ok, but GPU is pretty weak and old. Try to get current, not old, hardware in your price range e.g.:
i5-6000 series
2x8gb ram
geforce gtx900series or AMD R9 300series preferable 4GB+ Vram
