Why not? Arkham Knight is my personal Game of the Year on PS4

And they ♥♥♥♥ all over the PC. That kind of behavior should not be encouraged, which is why they should be penalized and served as a warning to other developers.

That's a shame it got off to a bad start. It's a great game. I've really enjoyed it.

It should have been, its one of the best games of 2015.

Bahahahahahahahahaha!
Please tell me it was on a sarcastic note. PLEASE!

I mean sure if you're able to get it to work it may be great, but hardly GOTY material here.
Maybe Best Broken Game of the Decade! :D:

The only way someone can call it a good game worthy of nomination is if they played it on console. A game that isolated a large group of players is not deserving of GOTY. If it was a ps4 exclusive, that would be a differents story.

Agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed 100% AK, even with teh issues which weren't major for me when i started playing. They got game of the year for the first two, but they screwed PC Gamers too much so too bad.

Well hey I got the previous ones free so I ain't complaining that much :).

It was kind of a disappointment to me. I mean i love everything about the gameplay and the story but most of the arkham knight part was poor (The boss fight and the twist) and by far the worst thing about the game was that they have to punch in the batmobil every time possible. Easy 40% of the game is Batmobil and most of it was forced..thats way to much. For GOTY such a thing didn't has to appear that annoying...but don't get me wrong i love the arkham series and especially Asylum and City.

It's unbelievable how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the Steam community can sometimes be.
As someone who had absolutely *no* bugs throughout his entire 36 hours gameplay, AK is absolutely, positively in the top 5 games of this year for me.
Not denying it was a flop or conveying the idea that the launch problems were legitimate, but learn to *SEPARATE* TECHNICAL ISSUES and GAMEPLAY.
By this sense, Fallout 4 shouldn't have been nominated either.

Might want to pick that mic up and stop patting yourself on the back a bit there.

There in the bold lies the problem. People who had minimal to no problems, like you and me, are in the minority here and a GOTY title 1) should not be based on the best possible experience for a small group of people and 2) absolutely *does* take technical issues into account because they directly impact the FUN FACTOR which is the whole point of why we play games. We want to enjoy our time with them. If a significant portion of the player base of a game can't even get it to run competently, to the point where it is pulled from sale, then without question a significant portion did NOT enjoy the gameplay. And if a majority didn't enjoy the gameplay, then said game is not GOTY material. It's that simple. Need to take the singular "I" point of view out of the equation and look at the situation on a broader scale.

Also, the comparison to FO4 is reaching. That game has nowhere near the issues of AK by any metric.

I understand what you're saying and I agree to a certain degree. But people around here are just making me red with rage, calling the game 'terrible' and whatnot, simply because of its technical issues (which, I can't deny, were the worst I've ever heard about in my entire gaming life). I just don't think a game should be judged by how well its performed, especially on one platform. The XBOX and PS versions of the game worked and looked great, and the game itself is a masterpiece; Whether be it the graphics, story, sound design or gameplay.

In short - I believe a game should be judged by the best case scenario; i.e - the way it should be and is played in some occasions.

that crap ending counts as a masterpiece to you does it?
the crap endings in the previous games were bad but this one just left more questions than anything else. If your going to end a series end it on a good high note and not like how this turd ended up which just left fans puzzled and disapointed

Also remember on consoles this is 30fps while pc is pushing it 60+ with much much higher graphics options.........its just because the optimisation is dome bad that not a lot of it works well. My game works perfectly at 30fps yet the second i TRY to run it at 60 my pc goes mental

No one is obligated to give you the ending you wanted.
No one is obligated to answer your questions.
No one is obligated to give you a 'high note' or a 'good' ending.
The Arkham series has some of the best writing in the video game industry. If you don't like the ending, don't play it. But no one is obligated in the slightest of ways to give you the happiest, most crazy, 'OMG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WAIT WHAT BATMAN IS JOKER AND TWO FACE HAS A THREESOME WITH PENGUIN AND CATWOMAN' ending there is.
Also; DLC. Something tells me this isn't the end.

About the whole console/PC debate - irrelevant. Once again, judging a game based on a best-case scenario. If the console standard is 30FPS, be it 30FPS.

I write everything in here based upon the fact I can't play the game since the Nov 24th patch. Just saying. It simply doesn't work, no matter what.
