Destroy Cobra tanks Miagani Island STUCK HELP

I'm stuck on my second playthrough. I have Poison Ivy in the boot and my objective tells me to destroy tanks in Miagaani Island. An online guide tells me to equip new secondary weapon at clock tower facility. The game offers no way point markers though. I have driven around Miagana for 3 hours with fook all tanks about. the clock tower doesn't do ♥♥♥♥.

I picked Ivy up form the cells and drove her to botanical gadens. I parked the car over the waypoint marker and nothing happend. Iooked online for a guide which mentioned the upgrade. I booted up the game again and instead of drive to gardens my objective was destroy cobra tanks. There isn't a tank in sight. What am I doing wrong? This is my second playthrough and I'm totally confuded.

You can't access a mission waypoint during a battle. You will usually receive a prompt to the effect of "Secure Area First." You pick up the upgrade at the Clock Tower immediately after destroying the lone Cobra tank on Bleake Island, then engage the 3 Cobras on Miagani. By getting ahead of the scripted game and quitting during Cobra mission you may have glitched the markers and objectives.

Backwind to to a previous save.
Keyboard and Mouse: Hold down upper minus key (-) to display backups, press select.
XBox Controller: Hold down LB (above Left Trigger) and use RB to select.

Failing that, follow these instructions to access backups from Documents folder:
Reload a previous save
Locate your backup folder, typically found here:
C: \ Users \ Owner \ Documents \ WB Games \ Batman Arkham Knight \ Steam Account Number \ SaveData \ backup

I defeated the lone cobra and got the message about the upgrade but the marker never changed and I was told to take Ivy to botanical gardens. I fought the 3 cobra at Miagani. The map says that island is secured but the objective still says clear the island. I thought possibly I didn't need the upgrade with it being the second playthrough

I will try backwinding to a previous save. I didn't know that was possible.

If a marker doesn't spawn where it should or operate properly, restarting from that checkpoint usually resets it.

Did you get the previous Batmobile upgrade on Grand Avenue on Miagani? If not, that may have goofed the Clock Tower upgrade.

I can't remember. I haven't played since 29th October. That was the last back up save meaning I'll lose all the side missions and VR I did today plus start from the STAGG airship. Could be worse. I'm gonna run through the main mission now and see if I can proceed past it

If the Batwing landed on you at Grand Avenue just before another drone battle and after the Arkham Knight Miagani base incursion, then you have the previous Batmobile upgrade.

Wezilla, It'll actually be at the main intersection with all the theatres and concert venues.

Hyden, look through your mission rotator. At the 12:00 position will be the main story objectives. Make certain that your Grand Avenue Batmobile upgrade isn't still listed. If so, return to the Grand Avenue intersection with the mission wheel at the uppermost position. That should spawn the marker and the Batwing will do it's thing for you. If there's no mention of it when clicked on, then you already equipped it.

I ended up loading a previous save. After picking up Ivy from the GCPD I fought the single Cobra and was then direced to an underground garage to pick up the Sonar upgrade. Then onto the botanical gardens.

For some weird reason it skipped the upgrade last time and sent me straight to the gardens where I fought the 3 Cobra's and dropped off Ivy. The map was showing that the island was secure but the objective was stuck on clearing the cobra's. weird.

Immediately after the lone Cobra battle on Bleake Island is a weapons upgrade to equip at the Clock Tower facility on Bleake Island. Did you grab that one?

Yes. That was the one I meant that got missed out the first time round. I'm back on track now
