Endless Knight: Make the Time Limit OPTIONAL please!
For the love and honour of all that is holy, you make a predator challenge that gets harder as time goes on and then go ahead and restrict it to a FIVE MINUTE TIMER?!

I can't speak for the rest of us, but personally I prefer to plan my route of attack, waiting for the best moment to strike and executing a perfectly timed assault on groups of thugs. In this instance, I think 'Rushed Knight' might be a more appropriate map title!!

Predator Maps be like:

1st medal - Don't use gadgets
2nd medal - Don't hide
3rd medal - Win in 60 seconds.

Starts VR room with 2 gunners, 4 medics, 2 snipers and 6 infantry men for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles.

When you take out opponents, the timer goes up like 30 seconds. That's more than enough time. I've been moving fast enough to get my timer to 9 minutes.

Ah I had guessed as much, but I still can't stand having a time limit at all, though.
I had the same issue with Shock Therapy in Arkham Asylum, I really did NOT enjoy that map.

It'd be one thing if there was another endless predator map without a time limit, but to just have one of them and have a permanent restriction like that in place kinda kills it for me!

its timed? why? that sucks we get and endless pred map at last and it has gimicky bs attached just like all the other ARs. Godammit the AR just feel like such a step down from the challange maps in city and origins

In most games, if optional stuff is on a timer, I almost always skip it, and if it's mandatory, it's sometimes a game breaker. Not because it makes it hard, but because I hate games that tries to rush me trough things, when I want to do it in my own way.

See, in the first game, the maps had a 'correct' solution such that you could do all of the required takedowns in a minimal amount of time. Time was only an issue on the score board and working to the rythym of the correct solution.
City decided to shake things up and eliminated that puzzle-aspect to it, but added the modifiers to endulge that cerebral component. luckily, time was not a major issue.
Origins, even though it was basically City DLC, had maps that were even less 'solvable' and more 'think on your feet' + it started pressuring you for time.
Knight gives you so many tools, but then crowds it's large maps with so many things and thugs that you really can't plan things out anymore. Predator mode is so powerful in this game that they had to counter it by taking away your chance to plan.
My advice is to switch from planning out your attack to: Pick a tactic, pick a target, execute, pick a different tactic, etc..

Were I new to the series or the game, that could be sound advice.
After four games and about 80 or 90 hours in each, however, I can tell you one thing:

I don't enjoy playing it that way!

Fair enough, Batman is supposed to be 'out of his element' with Arkham Knight, and constantly evolving his tactics to adapt to new situations...in the story, where there are few timed missions.

In the Predator maps, I expect to be able to 'BE THE BATMAN', whose redeeming quality that kept him as a member of the Justice League alongside metahumans like Superman was his ability to pre-empt situations through advance planning, scenario manipulation, and stealth.

I can do none of these things endlessly in a mission with a time limit, as no matter how many enemies I take down to keep my timer boosted, all I'm going to be doing is looking to boost my timer and not concerning myself with having as much fun as possible while taking down thugs!

I completed the map, and after quite a few tries unlocked the "Eternal" achievement by scoring as many Fear Takedowns as possible from different angles (above, below, ledges, corners) to keep thinking on my toes.

Don't spend too much time stalking one particular enemy; vanquish and move on, isolating the occasional straggler for Silent Takedowns to charge up Fear Takedowns, then a Smash Takedown on another straggler to lure them into a group. Rinse and repeat.

Hope this helps.

20 on this map is actually pretty easy. 50 for the achievement is certainly doable, I just choked at 49 :(. I'll get it tomorrow.

But the setup of the map has to have the timer. In other maps, the leaderboard is ranked by stars + fastest time. But since enemies are infinite, you have to rank people by how many goons they can take out. And that needs a timer. Otherwise, you could just sit on vantage points and detonate mines on dudes endlessly.

Dude, you've completely mis-interpreted the point of this post;

I'm not having difficulty with it, I'm dissatisfied with it.
They promised an 'infinite' map, and what we got was a map that restricts itself with a time limit.

I understand why there IS a time limit, as Chrury said it's required for leaderboard standards, etc.

I'm also completely disinterested in that for a reason though, as I have zero interest in growing my e-peen, and would instead like to play the aforementioned 'infinite predator map' at my leisure, without any concern for whether or not the time I spend taking down thugs is reflected well on a leaderboard that has been abused to high heaven by 'hackers'.

Can I just say yes to all of this. Forget the leaderboards and "social" aspects of it for a change, just give us a leaderboard-free unlimited time predator map to play with - keyword here being play.
