Environmental take down button keyboard???

It is supposed to be {space} and LMB but it has always been dodgy for me. You have to have the goon lit up totally blue and a full combo meter and even then a lot of the time it doesn't seem to trigger.

You need to be close to the environment where you can perform the takedown such as the power circuit, and you need to wait for the right timing for the blue indicator to light up, then click spacebar + left mouse click.

I'm doing a full necro because this still bugs me about this game.
There's gotta be a way to bind both left mouse button and space to be used simultaniously on a keyboard button. This won't do, it's exceptionally badly designed.

Yeah i always fail doing Environmental take down (i always think press space bar first and then left click and it's awlays fail), and the secret is, you must press spacebar + left buttons simultaneously.

I legitimately had to plug in a controller to do the environmental takedown against Pyg... so if you can plug one in I suggest you do. the combat in the game is also a lot easier with a controller.
