yeah closest thing we may end up getting is, the people that made Middle-Earth: Shaddow of Mordor, (which used arkham style combat system) has been working on that upcoming Wonder Woman game but recent news is saying it's in development hell and also infected with woke being it's a "sweet baby" game. so who knows.. not getting my hopes up. actually not even on my radar anymore.
The secret project is still at the drawing board so stop saying it’s Legacy 2. Development hasn’t even started.
Yes, but there have been so many secret projects and rumors and canceled stuff after Knight: Superman and Batman Beyond and what not - and all we ever got was that silly Suicide game. After eight years development time. With Knight clearly intended as Rocksteady's last Arkham game. And the masterminds behind Arkham are rumored to have been heavily involved in, actually responsible for that failure, and have jumped ship when the desaster began to materialize. Rocksteady now has been degraded from a hit factory to a supporting studio for the Potter IP, the company they once were is no more, while WB has doubled down time and again on their failed live service strategy. Out of what thin air should the next game really worthy of the "Arkham" label materialize? I really don't see it, not now, not soon, not ever...
actually there IS that arkham VR game that's suppose to be coming out. but yeah, stick to original trilogy. and if you haven't played them, the Middle-Earth games and that Mad Max game was EXCELLENT. would love to get a sequel to that. but doubt there's anybody left at WB that would do it any justice. plus they're trying to sell off their gaming studios as it is anyway being they've been doing nothing but hemorrhaging hundreds of millions of dollars for quite a good while now. but hey, you know what they say about "going woke", so.... you get what you got
no, this is from an ign article from like a month ago:
The First Batman Arkham Game in Years Is a VR Exclusive
And it's not developed by Rocksteady

Eight years after the last Batman: Arkham game, Warner Bros. has announced the next in the series: Batman: Arkham Shadow.
Batman: Arkham Shadow is a VR game set for release exclusively on the Meta Quest 3 later in 2024, Warner Bros. and Meta said. It’s developed by Camouflaj, maker of the Iron Man VR game, and Oculus Studios, in partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC.
Warner Bros. failed to say who voices Batman in the game, but promised more details will be revealed during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest on June 7 at 2:00pm PT. The teaser trailer is below:
Well of course Half-Life 2 is real, it's Half-Life 3 we've all been waiting an eternity for!
Sorry, but this is a very naive view, and it has a childish level of blind, dumbass optimism.
Yup. That "the adage has been proven wrong even more than it's been proven right, and it's been proven right a significant amount of the time". Like, if we divide it into times where it was a failure that caused massive losses that could be considered to be at the "going broke" level, a surprising success that managed to be amazingly lucrative, and someplace between the two, it would probably break down to, very roughly, about a third of the time. Almost as if it's not an actual factor in anything, and it's really stuff like quality that matters....
yeah plus it's a meta quest 3 exclusive, so if you got a quest 2 nope can't play, or if you bought valve index nope can't play. so, yeah, the big brains at WB thought it was a good idea to make it a "console' exclusive. even after SS:KTJL. so yeah, you can't make this 💩 up
