Unable to do any content at all.

Every single thing in my game is locked. I cannot access any mission, not even the main story. I cannot collect riddler trophies or do his stuff. If I try to complete a tower or any other open stuff like that, it just doesn't count it. I try to go to the GCPD and open the doors and it flat out will not let me, just like it no longer allows me to attach the winch to bombs around the town. No matter what, I can't do anything anymore. Is there any way to fix this or am I just SOL? I was at 83% on my save. I tried looking at the back up save but for some reason those do not seem to save frequently, so it's several days old and at 55%. With that much time lost, I'd probably just move on to another game.

Is there any way to fix this or something I am missing, aside from using a 5 day old back up save?

Very strange. Side missions should be locked only during certain main mission segments I think. Try loading previous checkpoints. You can do this on save slot selection screen, there are hints below which keys to press.

P.S. Also modding can break this game's progression. Better not mod until completion of main story.

Only two back up saves exist. One is for some reason from the exact same save point, and has the exact same issue. The other is days old, so, not worth that much progress loss.

No mods, either. Vanilla game with the DLC.
