But still no explanation on how Hatter hid entire chubby cop inside interrogation room with him for hours.
Katz, McQueen, and Lory went missing and got their cars stolen, so everyone assumed those were the three hostages, but only Katz and McQueen got stuffed in their trunks. Lory was a decoy; he made it back to GCPD and said he blacked out and woke up with his car missing. I guess Hatter made him stand in an alley for a few hours or something. Hutch was the real third hostage, but he never actually went missing; he just came into GCPD already brainwashed, so nobody knew he was involved at all until Hatter did his thing with the book.
Of course, they might have guessed if they'd thought about the officers' names. Katz, McQueen, and Hutch have names that are references to their respective Wonderland characters, while Lory's name doesn't seem to be a reference to anything.
As an aside, it's possible I just didn't look hard enough, but I don't think we ever get to see or interact with Lory in the game. We can talk to the other three.
