HANGING IN PREDATOR MODE
Okay, this past 2 months i have replayed the whole entire franchise, arkham asylum, city, and knight, and just brought origins and playing it right now.

My question is.. what is the point of hanging from gargoyales if you can still do invererted takedowns while being on top. Again i played all 3 games and still have no clue

I just wanted to know if there is a benefit from hanging or like something i don't know you can do when hanging compared to just standing on a gargoyle.

I'm not entirely sure, but it seems that the hanging inverted takedown has slightly increased range compared to the regular inverted takedown, but at the expense of an increased chance of being spotted by enemies.

The real question is: "Why doesn't the cape fall down over Batman's head when he is hanging?"

He has the cape tucked between his legs.

Hanging upside down from a gargoyle grants you a different vantage point and gives you the opportunity to DROP on enemies that are directly beneath you. I have done it many times in Asylum and I believe it is also a requirement for some challenges. An Inverted Takedown makes the vantage point just a vantage point, useless beside that. A drop on the other hand works like a miniature glide kick. It alerts all guards and sets them up for a smoke-multi fear takedown-style ambush.

He has the cape tucked between his legs.

Or maybe he does the memory metal grid trick from the movies that makes the cape rigid, like when he is flying.

I thought of that, but legs version sounded cooler to me.
