Shadow War game-breaking bug (not the Ras al Ghul one!)

So I got to the point where I needed to use the Batmobile to power the generator. However, the area was not secure (the Cobra tanks had just shown up), but I could not get to them to fight them. It seemed I was stuck, so I decided just to exit the game and come back. Now, I seem to be locked out of the quest. Setting they waypoint sets it to the GCPD entrance. I can not get back into the grate on the roof in the hospital, there is no prompt to interact with it. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there anything I can do about it?

I was already to the point in the game when they were patrolling, and I had not yet removed them from the area. It would not allow me to power the generator without securing the area, which I was not able to do.

Sorry I thought it was the Shadow War mission.

It IS the Shadow War mission, the Cobra tanks had begun their patrol from the main storyline and I did not clear them out before beginning the Shadow War mission.

I'm surprised it let you even start the Ra's mission....you're gonna have to load an older save game and start from there...what else can you do if you can't clear the tanks.

Well what is bad is that the tanks are now clear, it just won't let me back into the hospital. I can always play the mission when I do New Game+, I just wondered if anyone else had ever experienced this.

Backwind to to a previous save. You'll have to repeat some progress.
From the save slot menu:
Keyboard and Mouse: Hold down minus key (-) to display backups, press equal (=) to select.
XBox Controller: Hold down LB (above Left Trigger) then RB to select.

Failing that, follow these instructions to access backups from Documents folder:
Reload a previous save
Locate your backup folder, typically found here:
C: \ Users \ Owner \ Documents \ WB Games \ Batman Arkham Knight \ Steam Account Number \ SaveData \ backup
Follow these instructions, procedure here:

Hansard, this just occurred to me. At some point in the Shadow War mission the front doors of the hospital unlock. Even if you didn't get the generator powered up yet and before you try backwinding your save, did you try to enter the hospital through the front doors?

No dice, the hospital is still locked down, the large metal door is still down in front. Thanks for the tip though, and the instructions on rolling back the save! I appreciate it!

Searching like a mad dog for a solution... but theres not a lot of mention of this bug... guess we were REALLY unlucky... Im at 113%... going back in time its not an option at the momento.

A GCPD waypoint was mentioned, are you certain the marker wasn't on the Miagani Bridge surface to indicate following the kidnap APC's trail onto the island a little further? Did either of you enter the GCPD Exhibit Room to collect the REC from there to finish Shadow War?

There's many points in the game in which you have to finish main objectives before you can start side missions. Your first objective upon entering Miagani Island was destroying every single tank to clear a path to the APC trail. A while back one player borked their playthrough by trying to complete the Killer Croc mission during the Cloudburst event; the Croc side mission concludes inside GCPD so they were trapped underground unable to summon a then-immobilized Batmobile in order to exit the garage To avoid progression blockers like that you need to stick to the script.

Got the REC. EVERYTHING in the game is 100% completed except City of Fear (95%) and Shadow War (16%)... I just didnt want to end the final mission with unfinished businesses

Try entering from the top of the Hospital entrance again if it's still open, then retrace your steps to see if you can call the Batmobile to restore power.

The grate on the roof does not prompt any action to interact with and there is like an invisible wall in front of it. The generator that you turn off with the REC is off and it does not let you shoot it again. The thingy that you power up with the batmobile its locked up too. You can only open it from inside the hospital with Batman and i cant get inside.
This game was infamous at the time of release but it runs smoothly on my pc and i found zero bugs through all of it, except this one.

If I replay Knight this month, I'll see if I can duplicate your error and find a workaround. You started Shadow War before clearing out all the patrolling Miagani tanks, yes?

Yes, I believe that was the case(the Cobra Tanks). I would REALLY appreciate that!
